    Please give us a call to cancel or modify your booking, or simply shoot us an email. You can cancel your booking up to the scheduled collection time
  • Can I use an international driver’s license?
    Yes, you can. However, an English translated version is required along with your passport.
  • Can I book a car and pay later?
    With our Pay in-store option, you can book your ride and pay the remaining in-store.
  • Why do you require a physical bank card?
    This is used as another form of identification.
  • What is the Security Bond?
    We charge a minimum-security bond of $500.
  • What do I do if my flight has delayed or been cancelled?
    Please contact us immediately on which branch you have hired the vehicle from.
  • Can I return the hire vehicle after hours?
    Yes, please contact the branch to discuss after hour options.
  • What optional accessories do you provide?
    We have child/booster seats and GPS that come with a cost of $9 per day (capped at $50)
  • Can I use a digital version of my driver’s license?
    Yes, that is fine, providing our staff can verify it and it is connected to a government application, just ensure you email a screenshot of the license to the branch.
  • What is the insurance policy of Simba Car Hire?
    We offer wide variety of Excess waiver option, our most popular option being the $39 zero excess option.
  • How can I make a booking?
    The booking process is simple. Choose your desired car rental pickup and drop-off location and dates, choose your vehicle and make the booking!
  • What documents do I need to provide upon vehicle collection?
    We would require your Driver Licence, Credit/Debit Card and your passport (International Customers). All your documents will be scanned and stored in a secure vault for privacy and confidentiality purposes.
  • What are your restrictions for rental car drivers?
    All individuals must be over the age of 21 to hire a vehicle. Any individuals under the age of 25, must pay a fee of $9 per day with an excess fee increase of $5818 Any provisional drivers are categorised as "unexperienced", therefore, must pay a fee of $9 per day with an excess fee increase of $5818. You can have as many additional drivers as you desire, however, each additional driver has a $9 fee per day Leaner and P1 drivers are not permitted to drive the vehicle.
  • What if I do not have a physical card or a bank app linked card as per P&P
    Unfortunately, without a physical bank card, we cannot give out the vehicle.
  • What features are included in your vehicles?
    All our vehicles have an automatic transmission. Our vehicles are always up to date and in the latest year. Our vehicles are fuel efficient and there are unlimited kms except for the Utes and Vans/Buses. Most of our vehicles are acceptable for Apple Car play/Android Auto All our vehicles have a reverse camera.
  • What are the terms and conditions of Simba Car Hire?

  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept Mastercard, Visa and AMEX.
  • What forms of identification is required on arrival?
    We require your drivers licence, credit/debit card and a form of ID (Passport, Photo ID)
  • How much does it cost to extend my booking?
    This depends on the extension period and also current pricing – call the branch to discuss.
  • What Fuel should I put in the car?
    Please refer to the label on the fuel tank.
  • I have been involved in an accident what should I do?
    Please make sure everyone is safe, call 000 if required, call the branch you have booked the vehicle from.
  • I need roadside assistance what should I do?
    Please call your branch to organise an express roadside assistance or follow the instruction on your rental agreement.
  • What do I do if I return the car later than the scheduled drop off time?
    Please inform our staff if you are returning the vehicle late. We have a 60-minute grace period for you to drop the vehicle off. After that, there will be a late fee.
  • I have driven through tolls how to I pay for the tolls?
    You will receive an invoice in regards to the toll road utilisation.
  • Where should I return the car?
    Please return the vehicle to the return location on your rental contract
  • When will I get my deposit back?
    It usually takes anywhere between 3 to 10 business days for the funds to appear in your bank account depending on your financial institution.
  • How do I get charged for tolls?
    Depending on the state you will either receive a nomination or automatically be charged from your deposit, an itemised report will always be sent to your email address.

    Depending on the state you will either receive a nomination or automatically be charged from your deposit, an itemised report will always be sent to your email address. Sydney Toll Charges are: $2.95 admin fee per toll plus tolls utilisation fee
